How Much Does a Content Coach Cost? (And What Should You Actually Get)

Content Coaching Costs Anywhere From Free to $25,000+. Here’s What Each Tier Actually Gets You.

If you’re Googling content coaching prices, you’re probably comparing options and trying to figure out what’s reasonable. Fair. The problem is that “content coach” covers everything from a $47 course to a $25,000 done-with-you build. The price alone tells you almost nothing.

What actually matters is what you walk away with. So let me break down the tiers honestly, including where my own offer fits, what you should expect to pay, and how to calculate whether any of it is worth the investment.

Tier 1: Free to $500 (Self-Study)

This is YouTube, free webinars, and low-ticket courses. You’ll learn concepts like “post consistently” and “know your audience.” The information is technically correct but completely generic.

What you get: Knowledge. Maybe some templates.

What you don’t get: Anyone looking at your specific business, diagnosing your bottleneck, or building anything for you.

Who it’s for: People just starting out with no budget. If you haven’t made your first $5K from your expertise yet, start here. Seriously. There’s no shame in it, and you’ll learn what questions to ask later.

Tier 2: $500 to $2,000 (Group Programs)

Group coaching programs, cohort-based courses, and membership communities. You get some live interaction, usually in a group setting with 20-100 other people.

What you get: Frameworks, community, some accountability.

What you don’t get: Personalized strategy. In a room of 50 people, the coach can’t build a custom system for your business. You’ll get general advice applied to your specific situation, which sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t.

Who it’s for: People making $5K-$10K/month who need direction but can figure out implementation on their own.

Tier 3: $2,000 to $8,000 (1-on-1 Coaching)

This is where you get actual face time. A coach looks at your business, your content, your audience, and gives you a tailored strategy. Most coaching in this range runs 6-12 weeks with weekly or biweekly calls.

What you get: Personalized strategy, accountability, expert eyes on your content.

What you don’t get (usually): A finished system. Most coaches in this range teach you what to do but don’t build it with you. You leave with a strategy document and homework.

Who it’s for: People making $10K+/month who know they need a content strategy but don’t know what it should look like.

Tier 4: $5,000 to $15,000 (Done-With-You Systems)

This is where I operate. At this level, you’re not just getting advice. You’re getting a complete system built with you, tailored to your business, your voice, and your audience.

My model: 4 calls over 1 month. We build your entire content system together. Positioning, recording workflow, AI repurposing, DM automation, custom GPTs. By the end, one recording session produces 30+ pieces of content, and the system runs without you managing it daily.

What you get: A finished, working system that you own. No monthly fees. No platform dependency.

What you don’t get: Ongoing hand-holding. This is a build, not a relationship. If you need someone to meet with every week for emotional support, this isn’t it.

Who it’s for: Coaches, consultants, and course creators making $10K+/month who need a content machine, not more information.

Tier 5: $15,000 to $25,000+ (VIP/Done-for-You Hybrid)

High-end offers where a coach or strategist embeds in your business for a month or a quarter. They might bring a team. They might produce content for you while teaching you the system.

What you get: White-glove treatment. Often includes content production, not just strategy.

What you don’t get: It depends on the provider. Some at this level are genuinely transformational. Others are just charging more for the same advice you’d get at Tier 3.

Who it’s for: Businesses doing $30K+/month that need enterprise-level content infrastructure.

The Question That Actually Matters: What’s the ROI?

Price is the wrong frame. The right question is: how quickly does this pay for itself?

Here’s the math I run with my clients:

  • If your offer is $5,000 and the content system books 2 extra clients per month, that’s $10,000/month in new revenue
  • Even if it books just 1 extra client per month, you’ve made your investment back in month one
  • The system doesn’t degrade over time. Month 6, month 12, it’s still working. Every month after breakeven is pure profit.

Compare that to an agency at $5,000-$15,000/month. After 12 months, you’ve spent $60,000-$180,000 and you still own nothing. Cancel the agency, and your content stops.

Compare that to doing nothing. How many clients are you leaving on the table every month because your content isn’t working? If the answer is even one at $5K, that’s $60K/year in lost revenue.

How to Know If You’re Ready to Invest

I’m going to save you some money. Don’t hire a content coach if:

  • You don’t have a clear offer yet (fix that first, it’s free)
  • You’re making less than $5K/month (you need clients, not a system)
  • You want someone to “do it all” and never think about content again (that’s an agency, not a coach)

Hire a content coach if:

  • You’re making $10K+/month and know content should be driving more of that revenue
  • You’ve tried posting consistently and it didn’t move the needle
  • You’re spending 10+ hours/week on content with diminishing returns
  • You want a system, not just more advice

What I Charge and Why

I’m not going to hide behind “book a call for pricing.” That always felt dishonest to me when I was shopping for help.

My offer sits in the $5K-$15K range depending on what we’re building. Four calls, one month, a complete AI-powered content system. You own everything afterward.

Why that range and not a flat number? Because a coach with 500 followers and a coach with 50,000 followers need different systems. The positioning work is different. The automation complexity is different. The recording setup is different. I scope it on the call.

What I don’t do: monthly retainers, 12-week programs, group coaching, or courses. I tried all of those. Building a system in a focused sprint works better than spreading the same work over 3 months. I learned that from 800+ photography and video projects and 150+ sales calls.

FAQ

Why is content coaching so expensive compared to courses?

Because a course gives you information. Coaching gives you implementation. Information is cheap because it scales infinitely. Someone sitting with you, diagnosing your specific problem, and building a custom system doesn’t scale, which is why it costs more. The ROI is also completely different.

Can I get the same results from a $500 course?

Maybe, if you’re extremely self-motivated and don’t mind spending 6-12 months figuring out implementation through trial and error. Most people buy courses and don’t finish them. The completion rate for online courses is about 10%. The completion rate for my 4-call build is close to everyone, because we do it together.

What if I pay for coaching and it doesn’t work?

That’s a valid concern. The system only fails if you don’t use it. I can build the machine, but you have to turn it on. That’s why I’m selective about who I work with. If you’re not at the right stage, I’ll tell you on the strategy call.

Is there a payment plan?

We can discuss that on the call. I’d rather make it accessible than lose a great client over cash flow timing.

Ready to Get a Custom Quote?

Every business is different, which is why I don’t do one-size-fits-all pricing. On the strategy call, I’ll look at where you are, what you need, and whether my system is actually the right fit. If it’s not, I’ll tell you and point you somewhere better.

Book your free strategy call and get a custom quote based on your business, not a generic price sheet.

Next step: work with an AI consultant who builds the system, not a report.
